{"id":310678,"date":"2017-04-14T11:09:15","date_gmt":"2017-04-14T11:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=310678"},"modified":"2017-04-14T11:09:15","modified_gmt":"2017-04-14T11:09:15","slug":"gra-customs-gets-new-commissioner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=310678","title":{"rendered":"GRA Customs gets new Commissioner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Isaac Crentsil has been appointed as the new Commissioner for the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).<\/p>\n<p>He takes over from Mr. Kuudamnuru John Vianney whose tenure ends in May this year.<\/p>\n<p>Until his appointment, Mr. Isaac Crentsil was the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Post Clearance Audit Department.<\/p>\n<p>The pullout and take over ceremonies were conducted on Thursday, April 13 at the Headquarters of the Customs Division of the GRA.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_72071\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-72071\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-72071 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33859474612_78d90029d5_z.jpg\" alt=\"Mr. Kuudamnuru John Vianney - Immediate past Commissioner for Customs\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-72071\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mr. Kuudamnuru John Vianney &#8211; Immediate past Commissioner for Customs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Key among the tasks of the new Commissioner is to achieve the 14 billion cedis set target for the customs division for this year.<\/p>\n<p>This also forms part of the GRA\u2019s overall target of 34.8 billion cedis for 2017; representing a 34 percent increase over 2016\u2019s target.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Crentsil holds among others an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA-Finance) from the University of Ghana Business School.<\/p>\n<p>He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana (ICA GH) and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (Ghana).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_72067\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-72067\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-72067 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33204148263_72978237b0_z.jpg\" alt=\"Mr Isaac Crentsil (L) takes over from Mr. Kuudamnuru John Vianney (R)\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-72067\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mr Isaac Crentsil (L) takes over from Mr. Kuudamnuru John Vianney (R)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He holds Post Chartered Diploma Certificate in Forensic Audit from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana)<\/p>\n<p>In the Integration and Modernization of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Mr. Crentsil facilitated the Change Management by selection and training of Change Agents to propagate the message to staff of how successful movement from their current states\u00a0 to their future states.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-72075 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/pull-out.jpg\" alt=\"pull out\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He was the Project Manager that led to the set-up of the Post Clearance Audit with the objective to ensure holistic audit based customs control for trade facilitation and revenue maximization to achieve the goal of optimal revenue collection.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Pius Amihere Eduku\/citibusinessnews.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Isaac Crentsil has been appointed as the new Commissioner for the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
