{"id":310370,"date":"2017-04-13T09:07:02","date_gmt":"2017-04-13T09:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=310370"},"modified":"2017-04-13T09:07:02","modified_gmt":"2017-04-13T09:07:02","slug":"beach-fm-joins-stopgalamseynow-campaign-in-takoradi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=310370","title":{"rendered":"Beach FM joins #StopGalamseyNow campaign in Takoradi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Citi FM<\/strong> with its partner station, <strong>Beach FM 105.5<\/strong> in Takoradi, on Thursday renewed the #StopGalamseyNow Campaign in the Western Region.<\/p>\n<p>Branded in the campaign T-shirts with fliers in hand, the team hit the principal streets of Takoradi including places such as the Paa Grant roundabout to Poly Traffic Light, Pipe Ano to Nkrumah Roundabout and the Market Circle area.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-310383 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/stopgalamseynow-in-takoradi-9.jpeg\" alt=\"stopgalamseynow-in-takoradi-9\" width=\"648\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The campaign since its launch on 3<sup>rd<\/sup> April 2017, has taken the fight against illegal mining to decision makers, with five clear demands aimed at ending the destruction associated with the menace.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to earlier to\u00a0<strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the General Manager of Beach FM, Kojo Amoako Nzoley, explained that the campaign is an extension of what was done in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-310381 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/stopgalamseynow-in-takoradi-7.jpeg\" alt=\"stopgalamseynow-in-takoradi-7\" width=\"666\" height=\"444\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is an extension of what has been happening in Accra, championed by <strong>Citi FM<\/strong> and what we are going to do is to go to major traffic areas in town and send the story about the effects of Galamsey.
