One person, believed to be a \u201cgalamsey\u201d miner, has been confirmed dead at Banda-Nkwanta in the Bole District of the Northern Region after a pit, in which he was mining for gold collapsed.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the deceased was one of seven miners in the pit before the collapse.<\/p>\n
The District Chief Executive of Bole, James Jaaga, confirmed the body had been retrieved by the rescue team and it has been deposited at the morgue for examination.<\/p>\n
