Parliament on Tuesday approved the 10 Deputy Regional Ministers appointed by President Akufo-Addo about two weeks ago.<\/p>\n
They were screened by Parliament\u2019s Appointments Committee last week, and approved by consensus by both the Majority and Minority members on the committee.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Ministers are however expected to be sworn into office by the President.<\/p>\n
Below is the full list of the deputy regional minister nominees:<\/strong><\/p>\n Upper East Region \u2013 Frank Fuseini Adongo\u00a0 (MP)<\/p>\n Upper West Region \u2013 Amidu Ishaq<\/p>\n Northern Region \u2013 Solomon Namliit Boar (MP)<\/p>\n Brong Ahafo Region \u2013 Evans Opoku<\/p>\n Ashanti Region \u2013 Elizabeth Agyeman<\/p>\n Western Region\u00a0 -Eugenia Gifty Kusi<\/p>\n Eastern Region \u2013 Joseph Tetteh (MP)<\/p>\n Central Region \u2013 Thomas Agyei Baffour<\/p>\n Greater Accra Region \u2013 Elizabeth Kwatsoo Tetteh Sackey<\/p>\n Volta Region \u2013 Maxwell Blagogee<\/p>\n 50 deputy ministers <\/strong><\/p>\n Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has so far named a total of 110 ministers with 50 of them being deputy ministers<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n The number of ministers was met with an uproar<\/strong><\/a><\/span> from a section of Ghanaians who believe the ministers were too many for the small Ghanaian economy.<\/p>\n Other Deputy ministers to be vetted soon<\/strong><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Appointments Committee is expected to screen the rest of 50 deputies for sector ministries in the coming days.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin A.
