{"id":303259,"date":"2017-03-20T16:49:45","date_gmt":"2017-03-20T16:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=303259"},"modified":"2017-11-10T10:57:18","modified_gmt":"2017-11-10T10:57:18","slug":"okyeame-kwame-receives-us-presidential-volunteer-service-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=303259","title":{"rendered":"Okyeame Kwame receives US Presidential Volunteer Service Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Award winning Ghanaian rapper and philanthropist, Okyeame Kwame, received a United States Presidential Volunteer Service Award on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The award was given to him in recognition of his humanitarian efforts in Ghana &#8211; the Okyeame Kwame Hepatitis B campaign.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-303248\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Okyeame-Kwame-1.jpg\" alt=\"okyeame-kwame-1\" width=\"884\" height=\"589\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Presidential Service Award is the highest civilian honour that is granted to US citizens and permanent residents for their voluntary community service towards development.<\/p>\n<p>Okyeame Kwame was given the award by Dr. Pauline Key, on behalf of former American president Barack Obama, with a congratulatory plaque which had an inscription, \u201cOutstanding Humanitarian Service in Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-303245 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Okyeame-Kwame-3-e1490025340709.jpg\" alt=\"okyeame-kwame-3\" width=\"570\" height=\"380\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Okyeame Kwame has been honored in America.
