{"id":301145,"date":"2017-03-12T16:00:27","date_gmt":"2017-03-12T16:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=301145"},"modified":"2017-03-12T16:00:27","modified_gmt":"2017-03-12T16:00:27","slug":"ho-driver-allegedly-murdered-and-dumped-in-pond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=301145","title":{"rendered":"Ho: Driver allegedly murdered and dumped in pond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Anfoeta in the Ho West District of the Volta Region were stunned on Sunday [12th March, 2017] morning at the sight of a lifeless body floating in the pond.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The pond according to residents was created out of the town stream for construction works on the Bame-Dzolokpuita Road.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The deceased, identified as a taxi driver popularly known in the area as &#8216;Asong&#8217; was believed to have sent his vehicle to the pond for washing before his death.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">His vehicle was however found on the shoulder of the road with no indication of what exactly may have accounted for his death.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?attachment_id=301149\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-301149\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-301149\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Volta-pond-2.jpeg\" alt=\"volta-pond-2\" width=\"721\" height=\"857\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">But residents suspect foul play as they allege that the body does not suggested he drowned.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">They believe that he was murdered by some unknown persons and pushed into the pond under the cover of darkness.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The late &#8216;Asong&#8217; is believed to be in his late 30s<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The body has since been recovered and deposited at the morgue.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Meanwhile, the police in Hlefi have commenced investigations into the matter .<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8211;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By: King Nobert Akpablie\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Anfoeta in the Ho West District of the Volta Region were stunned on Sunday [12th March, 2017] morning at the sight of a lifeless body floating in the pond.
