{"id":29928,"date":"2014-07-06T05:17:20","date_gmt":"2014-07-06T05:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=29928"},"modified":"2014-07-06T00:18:22","modified_gmt":"2014-07-06T00:18:22","slug":"implement-anti-corruption-action-plan-emile-short-to-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=29928","title":{"rendered":"Implement Anti-corruption Action Plan \u2013 Emile Short to gov&#8217;t"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A former Commissioner of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Justice Emile Short <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"429fcc82-ac9c-4c47-b74f-1958e12a3b06\">is calling<\/span> on <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"89d55e25-707d-46e6-b331-f565161b5dc5\">government<\/span> to urgently implement the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Emile Short says implementing this plan will save government money.<\/p>\n<p>Ghana has lost billions to corruption.<\/p>\n<p>Parliament in a bid to fight the menace approved the action plan last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>National Anti-corruption Action Plan mobilizes efforts and resources of stakeholders to fight corruption.<\/p>\n<p>It also aims to ensure efficiency, accountability and transparency in both public and private sectors by investigating and prosecuting corrupt practices.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <b>Citi News<\/b>, Mr. Short advised Parliament to implement the newly adopted plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the first step and the greatest challenge is the implementation of the plan.
