{"id":297386,"date":"2017-02-27T06:25:22","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T06:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=297386"},"modified":"2017-02-27T06:25:22","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T06:25:22","slug":"dagbon-regent-commend-nana-addo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=297386","title":{"rendered":"Dagbon Regent commend Nana Addo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya Naa Abdulai Andani and the Abudus Regent, Boling-Lana Mahamadu Abdulai have applauded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for assigning Salifu Saeed as his first Northern Regional Minister.<\/p>\n<p>As a social development expert, they are convinced Salifu Saeed is capable of implementing government\u2019s pro-poor programmes intended to reduce rural-urban migration.<\/p>\n<p>They believe government policies when properly executed will bring prosperity to their people.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-297389 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/dagbon-regent-et-al-2.jpg\" alt=\"dagbon-regent-et-al-2\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They renewed their commitment to peaceful coexistence and urged the youth to remain law abiding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can count on us and be rest assured that we will support you and your government to succeed and help improve the living standards of our people\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This came to light when the regional Minister, Salifu Saeed paid courtesy calls on them at their palaces in Yendi as part of his weeklong familiarization tour of the area.<\/p>\n<p>Salifu Saeed reassured them of modern agriculture, clean water delivery and good road network.<\/p>\n<p>He said government will create more jobs to reduce urban-rural migration \u201cKayaaye\u201d which he noted has over the years affected the region\u2019s human resource base.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-297387 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/dagbon-regent-et-al-3.jpg\" alt=\"dagbon-regent-et-al-3\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The regional Minister reaffirmed government\u2019s neutrality in its quest to amicably resolve all age long persistent chieftaincy impasse recorded in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Salifu Saeed by extension visited the overlord of Mamprugu traditional area, Nayiri Abdulai Mahami Bohagu Sheriga.<\/p>\n<p>He explicitly thanked the chiefs and people of the area for their peaceful conduct.<\/p>\n<p>He pleaded with the Nayiri to continually bestow his wisdom and guidance on him to serve the interest of all citizens.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the traditional rulers to always use him as conduit to the Presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Salifu Saeed is expected to climax his tour paying courtesy calls on the overlord of Gonjaland, the Yagbonwura in Damongo and the Nanung traditional council in Bimbila.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya Naa Abdulai Andani and the Abudus Regent, Boling-Lana Mahamadu Abdulai have applauded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for assigning Salifu Saeed as his first Northern Regional Minister.
