{"id":29254,"date":"2014-07-02T14:41:05","date_gmt":"2014-07-02T14:41:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=29254"},"modified":"2014-07-02T15:03:25","modified_gmt":"2014-07-02T15:03:25","slug":"telegraph-story-was-cut-and-paste-kwesi-nyantakyi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=29254","title":{"rendered":"Telegraph story was cut and paste \u2013 Kwesi Nyantakyi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has denied the match-fixing allegations levelled at him by the Daily Telegraph, describing the story implicating him in the scandal as a &#8216;cut and paste&#8217; work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo Football Association will sign a contract with any match fixer to fix its games and if you look at the tape, it was a handiwork of cut and paste, \u201c Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi clarified.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Telegraph, two weeks ago, alleged \u00a0that Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi had agreed\u00a0to fix friendly games for \u00a0Ghana Black Stars.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking at a GFA press conference, Mr. Nyantakyi noted that the Daily Telegraph in a bid to \u201ccut off evidence that wipes off the strength of their case\u201d, presented a cut and paste story to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Nyantakyi confirmed that he had not agreed with anybody to fix any matches involving the Black Stars.<\/p>\n<p>Rather, he revealed that he was approached by a prospective investor who expressed the desire to buy the rights to the Black Stars matches for the next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI asked a lot of questions about the competency and the capability of the company and its officers and during the discussions I made it clear to them that the GFA will not be willing to lock itself with a company that we [GFA] didn\u2019t have much information about,\u201d Mr. Nyantakyi explained.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Nyantakyi revealed that he only asked the company to send a proposal to the GFA for its consideration before it could undertake any major project with it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a suggestion ,the only way we[GFA] could sign with them even in the future was for them to organize one or two games.
