Every resistance needs a good mantra. As Donald Trump takes office, Jaden Smith claimed a temporary space in Queens, NY, where he began repeating the words “He will not divide us” and invited anyone else to join him.<\/p>\n

He Will Not Divide Us is a project from Labeouf, R\u00f6nkk\u00f6 & Turner, a trio of performance artists behind endeavors like #TouchMySoul and #AllMyMovies. LaBeouf refers to the actor Shia LaBeouf.<\/p>\n

According to the website, He Will Not Divide Us will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the next four years \u2014 or as long as Trump is president.<\/p>\n

“In this way, the mantra ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community,” the site says.<\/p>\n

Smith probably won’t be there the whole time \u2014 but he’s one of the first, and his commitment is evident.<\/p>\n
