President Nana Akufo-Addo has named six more nominees for business related ministries under his administration.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”kaNbkL06zK2KQvvXGaN3ynq37HdnBiGe”]They include; Joe Ghartey, Akoto Osei and Kwaku Ofori Asiamah.<\/p>\n

The three have been nominated for Railways development, Monitoring & Evaluation and Transport Ministries respectively.<\/p>\n

Other nominations include; Ursula Owusu Ekuful, Atta Akyea and Kofi Addah who have been tipped for Communications, Works and Housing and Water Resources and Sanitation Ministries respectively.<\/p>\n

Ursula Owusu Ekuful<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West has been nominated for the Communications Ministry.<\/p>\n

Mrs.Ursula Owusu Ekuful served as Managing Consultant, N. U. Consult Legal, Governance and Gender Consultants.<\/p>\n

She has also been Director of Vodafone Ghana Company Limited since October 1, 2004.<\/p>\n

The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West also serves as a member of Ghana Bar Association.<\/p>\n

As a gender advocate, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful is \u00a0Executive Member of International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Ghana; Member, Women in Law and Development in Africa (WILDAF) Ghana; Member of African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA), Ghana.<\/p>\n

She is a Barrister\/Solicitor by profession.<\/p>\n

She holds Bl; LLB.<\/p>\n

Atta Akyea<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea is the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South in the Eastern region.<\/p>\n

He will be heading to the Works and Housing Ministry.<\/p>\n

According to him, his focus will be to complete all the affordable housing units started by the NPP government.<\/p>\n

In his view, there will also be the need to provide mortgages that will enable people with low end income access affordable housing.<\/p>\n

Currently the country\u2019s housing deficit stands at about 1.7 billion.<\/p>\n

Lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea holds a BA (Law and Philosophy), UG, 1989; BL (GSL), 1993.<\/p>\n

Joseph Kofi Kowe Adda<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Kofi<\/p>\n

Joseph Kofi Adda has been named as the Minister nominee for the newly created Water Resources and Sanitation ministry.<\/p>\n

He was a former Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central in the Upper East region.<\/p>\n

Joseph Adda is a Financial Economist and a Management Consultant.<\/p>\n

He worked as an Executive officer at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ghana in 1979.<\/p>\n

Between 1983 and 1984, he worked as a Research Analyst intern at the Third World Trade Institute, New York, USA.<\/p>\n

Over the next two years, he was an account Executive and Management trainee at the Equitable Financial Service, Inc., in\u00a0New Jersey, USA.<\/p>\n

He was appointed the\u00a0Minister for Manpower Development and Employment\u00a0by President\u00a0John Kufuor\u00a0in 2005.<\/p>\n

But subsequently moved to head the then Energy\u00a0Ministry in 2006.<\/p>\n
