Pressure Group, Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), has described as \u2018window shopping\u2019 the recent reshuffle by the President.<\/p>\n
The President, John Mahama on Saturday announced the re-assignment of Youth and Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and his Deputy, Joseph Yammin.<\/p>\n
Mr. Ankrah moves to the Presidency as a Minister of State while Yammin moves to the Ashanti Region as Deputy Regional Minister.<\/p>\n
The re-assignment comes on the back of the Black Stars abysmal performance at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, the Director of Operations for AFAG, Abu Ramadan said the President must let Elvis Afriyie Ankrah account for every penny spent in Brazil before taking his new post.<\/p>\n He was fully convinced that Ghanaians will appreciate it if a detailed account is given on happenings in Brazil.<\/p>\n According to him, Afriyie Ankrah\u2019s incompetence has been exposed therefore, it raises a lot of questions as to why he was re-assigned and not dismissed entirely.<\/p>\n He asked: \u201cWhat business has Elvis Afriyie Ankrah got doing with the President that the President can\u2019t let him leave government?\u201d<\/p>\n Mr. Ramadan said his re-assignment will only give him the platform \u201cto continue this sort of attitude and incompetence.\u201d<\/p>\n The AFAG executive told Citi News,<\/strong> President Mahama is losing sight of his priorities and the vital things which worry Ghanaians.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen the country is in crisis and the country needs a solution, the President comes to give appointment that has absolutely nothing to do with the crisis we are facing,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Efua Idan Osam\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
