{"id":279678,"date":"2016-12-26T07:57:21","date_gmt":"2016-12-26T07:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=279678"},"modified":"2016-12-26T07:57:21","modified_gmt":"2016-12-26T07:57:21","slug":"knust-appoints-new-registrar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=279678","title":{"rendered":"KNUST appoints new Registrar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng has been appointed as the new Registrar of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).<\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken at a special meeting of the Governing Council held in Kumasi.<\/p>\n<p>He succeeds the late Mr. Kobby Yebo-Okrah and a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar, Relations Office, Mr. Kwame Yeboah Junior, said he would serve a five-year term.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Boateng, 51, until his appointment, was the Registrar of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani.<\/p>\n<p>He began his career as University Administrator at the KNUST, in 1999, a position he held for 13 years &#8211; working in various schedules and offices including the Vice-Chancellor\u2019s Office, College of Science &#8211; KNUST Accra Office, the General Administration and the Human Resources Division of the Registrar\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, he served as Secretary to the Presidential Committee on Emoluments, a Committee appointed to determine the salaries and emoluments of Article 71 Office Holders.<\/p>\n<p>He has been a member of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) since 1999.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng has been appointed as the new Registrar of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
