Cameroon’s president has ordered an investigation into the team’s abysmal performance at the World Cup.<\/p>\n
According to reports, President Paul Biya, has charged the country’s Prime Minister,\u00a0Philemon Yang, with the task of finding out the cause of the team’s poor showing in Brazil.<\/p>\n
The Cameroonians were the first country to be eliminated from the World Cup after losing all three of their group matches, conceding 9 goals and scoring only 1 themselves.<\/p>\n
As well as having a player sent-off, two of their players were captured on camera fighting at the end of their 4-0 loss to Croatia.<\/p>\n
According to a statement on Cameroon radio, Prime Minister Yang has been told by the president to “provide results within a month and make proposals for a deep and urgent reconstruction of Cameroon football.”<\/p>\n
The Cameroonians didn’t have the best of preparation for the tournament, with their players reportedly threatening not to board the plane to Brazil because of a row over bonuses with the country’s Football Association.<\/p>\n
