Accra Heats of Oak has officially parted company with their manager, Mohammed Polo, after just 7 months in charge of the club.<\/p>\n
Polo took over the position from David Duncan after his contract was terminated by the club in November.<\/p>\n
A statement on the club’s official website read: “Accra Hearts of Oak have formally bidden fare well to Coach Mohammed Polo after he was handed a letter to that effect this afternoon.<\/p>\n
“The letter signed by Administrative Manager Hackman Aidoo for Administrative Chairman Togbe Afede XIV referred to the term of Coach Mohammed Polo’s engagement which specified that he was to be in charge of the team up to the end of the season.”<\/p>\n
Polo,58, who had previously managed the club as player coach, guided the team to third place in the Ghana Premier League last season.<\/p>\n
In the statement the club “thanked Mohammed Polo for stepping in at a difficult time and doing his best for the team” while wishing the former footballer of the year “the best of luck in his future endeavors.”<\/p>\n
