{"id":272523,"date":"2016-11-29T09:15:01","date_gmt":"2016-11-29T09:15:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=272523"},"modified":"2016-11-29T09:15:01","modified_gmt":"2016-11-29T09:15:01","slug":"police-hunt-for-hit-run-driver-who-left-6-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=272523","title":{"rendered":"Police hunt for hit &#038; run driver who left 6 dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Eastern Regional Police command is on a manhunt for the driver and owner of a Lexus\u00a0salon car, which was involved in a crash on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred at Teye Kwame on the Asutare Kpong road, around 5:00pm, when the driver of the Lexus collided head-on with a Toyota corolla, after a failed attempt to overtake another vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>In a <strong>Citi News<\/strong> interview with the Eastern Regional Police PRO, ASP Yaw Nketiah Yeboah, he said &#8221; the driver of the Lexus tried to overtake another vehicle and in the process crashed with the Toyota corolla which caused the death of the 6 people&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;the driver of the Lexus somehow abandoned the car and managed to escape.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/a24ad163-1ced-4d12-a7e2-bcd1ab7818c4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-272534\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/a24ad163-1ced-4d12-a7e2-bcd1ab7818c4.jpg\" alt=\"a24ad163-1ced-4d12-a7e2-bcd1ab7818c4\" width=\"600\" height=\"386\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Toyota corolla, Francis Adufu, Precious Tanoh \u00a0Nhyira Tanoh, 2-month-old, Sandra Afua, \u00a0Seth Badu, and Agnes Badu, who were in the Toyota corolla, died on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>Two Survivors, an adult female, Monica Adu Afful, aged 37 years, and Michael Danso, 4 years, are in critical condition at the Akuse Government Hospital where they are being treated.<\/p>\n<p>ASP Yaw Nketiah Yeboah said the bodies have been deposited at the Akuse Government Hospital morgue.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that&#8221;later on in the evening, the police received reports that the Lexus was being towed by some people; but when the police reached the scene, there was nobody there; so we have managed to tow the car to the Akuse Police station.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Police command thus informed the general public to assist the police with information on the owner of the Lexus vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>They have adviced the driver and the owner to report themselves to the police.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Neil Nii Amatey Kanarku\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Eastern Regional Police command is on a manhunt for the driver and owner of a Lexus\u00a0salon car, which was involved in a crash on Sunday.
