The running mate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has tagged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government as “the most corrupt and incompetent administration” since the era of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.<\/p>\n
The NPP running mate was speaking to supporters at Wa during the Upper West Regional Campaign rally of the party on Wednesday, 23rd November, 2016.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”znEtbRMF8MkT1Ha3wtnNI5VdRYjmNTXs”]Dr. Bawumia said “the current NDC administration has had more resources than the accumulated resources by all preceding governments, but has done little to better the lives of citizens”.<\/p>\n
Arguing his point, Dr. Bawumia said “the NPP under President Kufuor did a lot with 20 billion Ghana Cedis.The NDC has had 248 billion Ghana Cedis since 2009”, stressing “they still claim there’s no money for National Health Insurance, there’s no money for teacher trainee allowance, there’s no money for school feeding. But when it comes to SADA there’s money, when it comes to GYEEDA there’s money, when it comes to SUBA there’s money, when it comes to Karpower there’s money, when it comes to Ameri Power there’s money, when it comes to Bus Branding and all the corrupt schemes there’s money.”<\/p>\n
He accused the government of being deliberately incompetent in the management and prosecution of corruption in this country”. Supporting his claim, \u00a0he quizzed, “why aren’t we getting the Woyome money? Why aren’t we getting the Waterville money? Why aren’t we getting the money from GYEEDA?”<\/p>\n
