{"id":269979,"date":"2016-11-20T15:30:27","date_gmt":"2016-11-20T15:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=269979"},"modified":"2016-11-20T15:30:27","modified_gmt":"2016-11-20T15:30:27","slug":"tamale-chief-endorses-cpp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=269979","title":{"rendered":"Tamale chief endorses CPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chief of Tamale,\u00a0 Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan, has openly declared his support for the Convention People&#8217;s Party (CPP).<\/p>\n<p>Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan endorsed\u00a0 Ivor Greenstreet\u00a0 when he paid a courtesy call on him at his palace as part of his campaign tour of the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p>He described the party&#8217;s presidential candidate, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet as a time tested and serious politician who deserved to win the December 7polls because of his track record.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/44994845-80d8-49d0-ab63-f8e56c3cc8d6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-269985\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/44994845-80d8-49d0-ab63-f8e56c3cc8d6.jpg\" alt=\"44994845-80d8-49d0-ab63-f8e56c3cc8d6\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Tamale Chief said his affiliation to the CPP dates back to the 60s, when his fathers together with Dr.\u00a0 Osagyefo Kwame formed the party.<\/p>\n<p>He thus pleaded with the electorate to give Ivor Kobina Greenstreet and the CPP the mandate to build on the solid foundation laid by Nkrumah&#8217;s administration.<\/p>\n<p>Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan is rest assured the CPP would deepen peaceful coexistence when elected into office.<\/p>\n<p>He encouraged Ivor Kobina Greenstreet to continue campaigning on peace and development to attract floating voters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/a24111e4-9227-46b4-9568-2fe59cb0e135.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-269984\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/a24111e4-9227-46b4-9568-2fe59cb0e135.jpg\" alt=\"a24111e4-9227-46b4-9568-2fe59cb0e135\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ivor Kobina Greenstreet thanked the Tamale chief for his blessing and assured him of victory.<\/p>\n<p>He promised to fulfill all his campaign promises to make Ghanaians have a better sense of good governance. He said the next CPP administration under his watch would not disappoint Ghanaians.<\/p>\n<p>He introduced the Tamale Central and Sagnarigu constituencies Parliamentary candidates to the Tamale chief.
