{"id":267824,"date":"2016-11-13T10:57:21","date_gmt":"2016-11-13T10:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=267824"},"modified":"2016-11-13T10:57:21","modified_gmt":"2016-11-13T10:57:21","slug":"ndc-npp-supporters-clash-at-nana-addos-residence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=267824","title":{"rendered":"NDC, NPP supporters clash at Nana Addo\u2019s residence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the governing National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party on Sunday clashed at the residence of the NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo at Nima in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Though the cause is yet to be confirmed, information gathered by <strong>Citi News<\/strong> indicate that the clashes happened during a regional health walk organised by the NDC.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-267823 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ndc-clash-with-npp-at-nana-addos-residence-1.jpg\" alt=\"ndc-clash-with-npp-at-nana-addos-residence-1\" width=\"768\" height=\"428\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Police had a hard time controlling the charged crowd, some of whom reportedly hauled stones into the residence of the opposition leader.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-267822 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ndc-clash-with-npp-at-nana-addos-residence-2.jpg\" alt=\"ndc-clash-with-npp-at-nana-addos-residence-2\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Though calm has been restored at the place, the NPP supporters have refused to give the Police access to Akufo-Addo\u2019s residence to inspect the extent of damage the clashes caused.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the NPP MP for Ayawaso Central, Henry Quartey said the whole place was besieged by NDC supporters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-267846 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/02203be1-101b-429a-a048-b6a5047f5491.jpg\" alt=\"02203be1-101b-429a-a048-b6a5047f5491\" width=\"768\" height=\"436\" \/><br \/>\n\u201cYou should have been here it was like a stadium, they were all the way round from Alisa hotel up to this place, I have never seen this before.
