{"id":260189,"date":"2016-10-20T17:45:15","date_gmt":"2016-10-20T17:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=260189"},"modified":"2016-10-20T17:45:15","modified_gmt":"2016-10-20T17:45:15","slug":"citi-fm-donates-desks-bunk-beds-to-basco-orphanage-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=260189","title":{"rendered":"Citi FM donates desks, bunk beds to BASCO orphanage [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ghana\u2019s leading English-speaking radio station, Citi FM, on Thursday donated some desks and bunk beds to the Baptist School Complex and Orphanage (BASCO) at Trotor, near Suhum in the Eastern Region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-260148 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/basco-desk-beds-donation-1_900x657.jpg\" alt=\"basco-desk-beds-donation-1_900x657\" width=\"900\" height=\"657\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The station gave the orphanage 110 desks and 30 bunk beds with\u00a0support from its cherished listeners and its staff.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-260158 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/basco-desk-beds-donation-10_900x506.jpg\" alt=\"basco-desk-beds-donation-10_900x506\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-260179 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/basco-desk-beds-donation-31_900x506.jpg\" alt=\"basco-desk-beds-donation-31_900x506\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The station received cash donations from its listeners per an appeal it made to them to help provide the orphanage with such facilities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-260173 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/basco-desk-beds-donation-25_900x506.jpg\" alt=\"basco-desk-beds-donation-25_900x506\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Donating the items to the management of BASCO, the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Citi FM,\u00a0Mrs. Jennifer Anane-Nsiah said the facilities would go a long way in positively affecting the lives of children at BASCO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all know what sleep is to the human being, not having a good night sleep would certainly affect the rest of your day. So we did what we do best; through radio advocacy we were able to raise funds from our listeners.
