{"id":255173,"date":"2016-10-05T15:33:43","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T15:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=255173"},"modified":"2016-10-05T15:33:43","modified_gmt":"2016-10-05T15:33:43","slug":"sparta-prague-players-to-train-with-womens-team-after-sexist-comments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=255173","title":{"rendered":"Sparta Prague players to train with women\u2019s team after \u2018sexist\u2019 comments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sp-story-body__introduction\">Two Sparta Prague players have been told to train with the women\u2019s team after making sexist comments about a female match official.<\/p>\n<p>Goalkeeper Tomas Koubek, 24, said \u201cwomen belong at the stove\u201d after assistant referee Lucie Ratajova failed to flag an opponent offside during Sunday\u2019s 3-3 draw with Brno.<\/p>\n<p>Midfielder Lukas Vacha, 27, tweeted a picture with a comment \u201cto the stove\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sparta chief executive Adam Kotal\u00edk called the remarks \u201cunacceptable\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the players \u201cwill see for themselves that women can be handy not only at the stove\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Women\u2019s team captain Iva Mocova said: \u201cWe are looking forward to the boys training with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after Sunday\u2019s game, Czech Republic international Koubek had added: \u201cWomen should not officiate men\u2019s football.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He later posted a picture of his wife and daughter on <a class=\"sp-story-body__external-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TomasKoubekofficial\/\">Facebook<i class=\"sp-story-body__external-link-icon gelicon gelicon--external\"><\/i><\/a> and said he wanted to \u201capologise to all women\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Czech international Vacha said his \u201ccomment was directed to a specific error which affected the outcome of the game, not for any other women\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Midfielder Alois Hycka appeared to be several metres offside before scoring the Brno\u2019s equaliser in stoppage time.<\/p>\n<p>The Football Association of the Czech Republic\u2019s disciplinary committee is due to deal with Koubek\u2019s remarks on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source: BBC<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Sparta Prague players have been told to train with the women\u2019s team after making sexist comments about a female match official.
