{"id":255052,"date":"2016-10-05T12:08:41","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T12:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=255052"},"modified":"2016-10-05T12:08:41","modified_gmt":"2016-10-05T12:08:41","slug":"ndc-postpones-setting-the-record-straight-forum-for-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=255052","title":{"rendered":"NDC postpones \u2018Setting the Record Straight\u2019 forum for today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In consultation with the national campaign leadership of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), The Forum for \u2018Setting the Records Straight\u2019 has rescheduled the second in the series of the\u00a0press conferences from today [Wednesday] to Tuesday October 11, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The Transport Minister, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, lead speaker for the Forum revealed the change in date to <strong>ghelections.com<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0on Wednesday<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kwetey explained:\u00a0 \u201cThe second in the series of \u2018Setting the Records Straight\u2019 Press Conferences was expected to be held on Wednesday October 5, 2016 but we have in\u00a0consultation with\u00a0the national campaign leadership\u00a0pushed it to Tuesday 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0October.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He told <strong>ghelections.com<\/strong>\u00a0that even though a new date had been announced not much would change with regards to what the party had\u00a0earlier planned to touch on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As Ghanaians may be aware , in\u00a0 our\u00a0 first press\u00a0 conference, the NDC established\u00a0 beyond any reasonable doubt why\u00a0 the Party is the Real Deal and why our main opponent the New Patriotic\u00a0 Party is\u00a0 the embodiment of\u00a0 incompetence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn next\u00a0week\u2019s Press conference, the NDC will still establish comprehensively that the NPP is the most discredited party in Ghana&#8217;s history and that NDC&#8217;s track record makes it a party that Ghana can trust to deliver on its promises.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will also show that the NPP has consistently both in the past and present proven that it would say anything just to obtain power.
