{"id":254885,"date":"2016-10-04T18:23:43","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T18:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=254885"},"modified":"2016-10-04T18:23:43","modified_gmt":"2016-10-04T18:23:43","slug":"ndc-has-built-a-robust-economy-mahama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=254885","title":{"rendered":"NDC has built a robust economy &#8211; Mahama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer, President John Mahama\u2019s visit to Yeji in the Brong Ahafo region has seen him tout the strides his government has made in building a robust economy.<\/p>\n<p>In an address to the chiefs and people of Yeji in the Pru-East constituency on his campaign tour, President Mahama said the\u00a0NDC government has done all it needs to sustain the economy and because of this, \u201ca lot of investors have reposed confidence in our economy. The Cedi has also been stabilised.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also noted the decreasing inflation rates and cited the recent Moody\u2019s rating as proof of the strides made in the last four years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApart from this, Moody\u2019s rating some two weeks ago also showed that our economy is robust. They said we have moved from a negative rank to a stable one,&#8221; the President said.<\/p>\n<p>Pru East being the constituency of a former Power Minister, Kwabena Donkor, who <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/12\/31\/power-minister-resigns-over-dumsor\/\">ended up resigning<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in December 2015 because of the power crisis, President Mahama also took time to speak about how he handled the power situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not one that pushes the blame on others. That has been the tradition of previous governments, to apportion blame but I will not do this.
