They have been brought to light because of her prominent role in the Republican candidate&#8217;s campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we were physiologically \u2013 not mentally, emotionally, professionally \u2013 equal to men, if we were physiologically as strong as men, rape would not exist,\u201d Ms Conway said. \u201cYou would be able to defend yourself and fight him off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The discussion on PBS\u2019s To the Contrary was broadcast in January 2013.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/players.brightcove.net\/624246174001\/82f79524-152c-485f-bcb0-09197a216c87_default\/index.html?videoId=5106027462001\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nCNN said that the panel of women had been discussing women in the military and gender equality in combat. Ms Conway brought up the analogy unprompted, using it as part of a statement about women&#8217;s physical capabilities in relation to those of men.<\/p>\n<p>The comments were recirculated by an anti-Trump group, Democratic Coalition Against Trump, a fundraising and lobbying organisation or super PAC, which claimed the comments were evidence that Mr Trump\u2019s campaign did not understand \u201cacceptable political views\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot have a reality show in the White House; the stakes are just too high, especially for women,\u201d said the group\u2019s National Finance Director Francesca Lucia.<\/p>\n<p>The group also quoted The Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead, who founded Lady Parts Justice and Artists Against Trump, in slamming the comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost people who think like Donald Trump would only express their views in private, because they\u2019re shameful. But not Kellyanne Conway. Not Eric Trump, when he said that Ivanka wouldn&#8217;t allow herself to be subject to sexual harassment.
