Yiyamba and Biraimba communities in the Northern Region have bounced back to life as residents who fled as a result of the recent clashes between the two towns have returned.<\/p>\n
According to the Police, a visit to the areas showed the village folks are trying to rebuild the communities which were torched during the clash.<\/p>\n
Three others also lost their lives.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are coming back\u2026this time, when they see us coming, they don\u2019t run away\u201d said District Police commander ASP Stephen Paa Yeboah.<\/p>\n
The clashes occurred last month over a parcel of land and protracted chieftaincy dispute.<\/p>\n
The two communities have signed a bond to be of good behavior to end the conflict and co-exist peacefully<\/p>\n
The peace pact was signed at the end of a meeting between leaders of the two feuding factions and the seven-member committee set up by the Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC).<\/p>\n
ASP Yeboah\u00a0added the two people who were arrested in connection with the act have been granted a police enquire bail.<\/p>\n
He said the Police will continue with investigations to find out those who instigated the clashed.<\/p>\n
