The SAA, launched the Accra Washington route on August 2, to among other things strengthen SAA\u2019s presence in West Africa.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by \u00a0the South African \u00a0High Commissioner\u00a0 to Ghana, H.E Lulu Xingwana,\u00a0 the\u00a0 Country Director for\u00a0 South African Airways, Gloria Yirenkyi , and Deputy Head\u00a0 of \u00a0Mission at U.S Embassy, Ms Melinda\u00a0 Tabler- Stone.<\/p>\n

Others included \u00a0Minister for Transport, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey,\u00a0 \u00a0and Deputy Minister\u00a0 for Finance, Mrs. Mona Quartey among other dignitaries.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event in Accra, the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Madam \u00a0Xingwana expressed gratitude to the government of Ghana for creating\u00a0 a conducive atmosphere\u00a0 for\u00a0 the airline\u00a0 to operate in the country.<\/p>\n On his part, the transport Minister, Mr. Kwetey announced that the government of Ghana has approved a request from the SAA\u00a0 to operate on the Accra- London route, once the airline satisfies \u00a0the criteria laid down by the\u00a0 Ghanaian and United Kingdom aeronautical authorities.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
