{"id":242985,"date":"2016-08-25T18:33:10","date_gmt":"2016-08-25T18:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=242985"},"modified":"2016-08-25T18:33:10","modified_gmt":"2016-08-25T18:33:10","slug":"tree-crushed-vehicle-at-legon-campus-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=242985","title":{"rendered":"Tree crushes vehicle at Legon Campus [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00a0vehicle with registration number GE-3414-13 on Thursday had its bonnet and engine crushed by a tree at the University of Ghana campus.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242987 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/crashed-car-at-legon-2.jpg\" alt=\"crashed car at legon (2)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The vehicle according to some students was parked in the shade of the tree when the incident happened.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242986 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/crashed-car-at-legon-1.jpg\" alt=\"crashed car at legon (1)\" width=\"768\" height=\"527\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No casualty was however recorded but made it impossible for other cars to use the road.<\/p>\n<p>Though the cause of the incident was not immediately known, some of the students blamed it on a pipe leakage at the place which they say has been left unchecked for close to a month hence weakening the roots of the tree.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242993 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/d12855ce-b320-4230-ab39-3430b5e958e8.jpg\" alt=\"d12855ce-b320-4230-ab39-3430b5e958e8\" width=\"720\" height=\"790\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The vehicle according to some of the students\u00a0is believed to be for\u00a0a staff of the University.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242988 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/crashed-car-at-legon-3.jpg\" alt=\"crashed car at legon (3)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Security personnel are currently on the ground to ensure the area is cleared.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Godwin A.
