{"id":238476,"date":"2016-08-12T06:05:01","date_gmt":"2016-08-12T06:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=238476"},"modified":"2016-08-12T06:05:01","modified_gmt":"2016-08-12T06:05:01","slug":"mahama-has-edge-over-nana-addo-in-december-polls-deputy-chief-of-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=238476","title":{"rendered":"Mahama has edge over Nana Addo in December polls \u2013 Deputy Chief of Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Deputy Chief of Staff in-charge of Operations, Kenneth Wujangi, has rubbished pre-election surveys which put the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) presidential nominee, Nana Akufo Addo ahead of President Mahama, saying they are not the true reflections on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Kenneth Wujangi argues the surveys conducted by the Center for Democratic Development (CDD) and the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) are not to be taken serious.<\/p>\n<p>Both surveys portray a damning picture of the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/08\/09\/7-of-10-citizens-say-ghana-is-heading-in-wrong-direction-survey\/\">Ghanaian economy<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>while that of the EIU further predicted a win for Nana Akufo-Addo in the December polls.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_238477\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-238477\" style=\"width: 768px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-238477\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/deputy-chief-of-staff-Kenneth-Wujangi.jpg\" alt=\"Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations, Kenneth Wujangi \" width=\"768\" height=\"557\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-238477\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations, Kenneth Wujangi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;KvzsWONqejdnqmetdoUc5jDmNEZEQvr8&#8243;]\u201cAt the end of the day it depends on who does which survey. It depends on where in Ghana the person goes to get his data from. If one limits himself to city life; you sit in a hotel and conduct your survey, you will get results that pertain to sitting in a hotel,\u201d Mr. Wajangi noted.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in a joint interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u2019 Sammi Wiafe and Joy FM\u2019s Elton John Brobbey on Thursday, Kenneth Wujangi insisted that, the Mahama administration has done enough to deserve another term in office.<\/p>\n<p>He said though \u201cPresident John Dramani Mahama has an edge over the major opposition party candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo,\u201d they will not be complacent since \u201cthere is still some work to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need not to be complacent and the battle is over when the whistle goes and says you have won. But because of what has been done on the field, he has the edge far over Nana Akufo-Addo,\u201d Mr. Wujangi argued.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted some of the developmental projects initiated by government in roads, health, educational facilities, among others, which he said warrants President Mahama\u2019s second term.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026To lay the foundation to this date, to me, the best Ghanaians can do is to give him the mandate for the next four years for him to build on the foundations that have been laid.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Godwin A.
