US based Delta Airlines, has lifted a ground stop with limited departures resuming, following a power outage in Atlanta that impacted the airline company\u2019s computer systems and operations worldwide.<\/p>\n

In a statement to update customers on the latest developments, the company cautioned customers heading to the airport to expect delays and cancellations.<\/p>\n
Delta Airline on Monday morning announced that it has grounded all flights across the world following a power outage in Atlanta that impacted its computer systems across the globe.<\/p>\n
The outage happened at around 2:30 am ET (6:30 GMT) on Monday, August 8, 2016.<\/p>\n
The company also announced that it expected large scale cancellations.<\/p>\n
Refund for affected customers<\/strong><\/p>\n Meanwhile customers, whose flights have been affected by the cancellation or delays are entitled to a refund.<\/p>\n But even if flights are not canceled, such customers are entitled to a one-time change to their tickets without a fee if the customer is scheduled to travel to, from, or through destinations specified by Delta Airline between August 8th and 12th 2016.<\/p>\n Waiver for inconveniences beyond August 12<\/strong><\/p>\n Though additional charges may apply to customers seeking changes with their reservation agents, the airline company says it will issue a waiver on such charges when rescheduled travel occurs beyond August 12, 2016.<\/p>\n
