The final funeral rites for the late Gospel Minister, Danny Nettey has been scheduled for Friday September 2, 2016 at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.<\/p>\n
There will be a tribute gospel concert in honor of the late musician.<\/p>\n
This was contained in a release copied to Citi News and signed by\u00a0 John Jeffery Nettey for the Family Head.<\/span><\/p>\n A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 3 at 9 am at the State house and later to the Osu Cemetery for interment.\u00a0 Dress Code for the funeral is white.<\/span><\/p>\n The prolific gospel minister died on Friday july 15 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. He was \u00a048.<\/p>\n \u2018\u2019We are so overwhelmed by the reaction, both locally and internationally to our beloved Danny\u2019s death and we are most grateful to everybody\u2019\u2019 Dan Clottey uncle of the late minister said.<\/span><\/p>\n He noted that \u2018\u2019One thing is clear that Danny was on a mission for his maker who in his wisdom has called him home peacefully; in all things we give thanks\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n About Danny Nettey<\/b><\/p>\n He begun his music career with his own group, \u2018Danny Nettey and Pals,\u2019 which focused on ministry in Secondary Schools and churches.<\/span><\/p>\n Nettey released his debut album, \u2018Positive Change\u2019, in 1995 which ushered in the contemporary style of gospel music in Ghana and endeared him to many young people back then. He followed that album with two more, \u2018This Time\u2019 and \u2018I believe\u2019. <\/span><\/p>\n Over the course of his music career, Nettey ministered alongside the likes of Bishop T. D.
