A government of the Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP) will build recreational facilities on water bodies in Accra, to provide massive employment particularly for Gas, 2016 Flag bearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has announced.<\/p>\n

According to Dr. Nduom, a PPP administration will ensure that water bodies in Accra such as the Korle lagoon and the Odawna will be very clean to the extent that, recreational facilities like boats (yachts) would be stationed on them to provide entertainment and tourist attractions.<\/p>\n

He was speaking at the Campaign launch of the PPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Odododiodio Constituency, Evangelist William Larbi a.k.a \u2018Stopper\u2019 at Akoto Lante, a suburb of Accra.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you go to France, there is a water body there. There is one in London and in Washington. If you go there you will see the difference between the people who are living well and those of us who are living poorly in Accra \u2013 Ghana here.”<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Paris, the water body is just like we have the Korle here, just like we have the Chemu, just like we have the Odawna. But there, if you go in the afternoon, people are there with boats (yachts), living inside the boats (yachts), serving foods, serving drinks, serving or providing entertainment and so there are jobs. If you go at night, you would see the same thing. There is entertainment so there are jobs, there is tourism. And people go from Ghana, from Nigeria, from America and other places just to enjoy themselves,\u201d Dr. Nduom disclosed.<\/p>\n

Bemoaning the existing situation in Accra, he charged the Ga people to ensure that they vote for respectful and competent persons like Evangelist Larbi, who would fight for them to ensure that Accra gets the needed development it deserves.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut come to Accra. Go to Odawna, go to Korle, go to Chemu, so who is going there in the afternoons to enjoy themselves? Who is going to go there in the evenings to enjoy themselves? Who in Accra is speaking for the Accra people so that our water bodies in Accra will be clean so that you can have entertainment and jobs there?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am telling you\u2026the NDC didn\u2019t do it, the NPP didn\u2019t do it but the PPP will make it happen. That is why the PPP is promoting respectable people like Evangelist Larbi so that they will go and do proper and good things for the Ga people,\u201d Dr. Nduom reiterated.<\/p>\n

On his part, the PPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Odododiodio Constituency, Evangelist Larbi a.k.a \u2018Stopper\u2019, noted that the Progressive People\u2019s Party, (PPP) has come to stay.<\/p>\n

Quoting from the Bible, he said it is only the PPP that can deliver them from all their worries and take them to the Promised Land because the PPP leadership has demonstrated beyond all reasonable doubts that it can create all the jobs that they need.<\/p>\n

\u201cPPP is there for everybody. PPP is going to create a job for everybody. A new era is coming to the Odododiodio constituency, \u201che said.
