{"id":232701,"date":"2016-07-20T14:00:15","date_gmt":"2016-07-20T14:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=232701"},"modified":"2016-07-20T14:00:15","modified_gmt":"2016-07-20T14:00:15","slug":"pusag-receives-mahindra-pick-up-from-education-ministry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=232701","title":{"rendered":"PUSAG receives Mahindra pick-up from Education Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Government through the Ministry of Education has presented a Mahindra pick-up to the Private Universities Students&#8217; Association of Ghana (PUSAG), ahead of its tenth anniversary this year.<\/p>\n<p>The gesture comes after the National PUSAG President; Mr. Richard Odame, made the request in the midst of student leaders from over 20 private universities on behalf of the Association.<\/p>\n<p>PUSAG Media Relations Director, Francis Kwabena Asante in a statement said \u201cIt is indeed grateful to the Government especially the Honourable Deputy Minister for Education in charge of Tertiary, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for honouring his promise. This vehicle will go a long way to enhance the daily administration of the Association.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The current PUSAG administration aside lobbying for the vehicle, secured an office space for the Association.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-232702 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Car-1-1024x680.jpg\" alt=\"Car 1\" width=\"620\" height=\"412\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe past administrations yearned for these two and finally, they have been realized in this selfless and humbled administration. We believed the subsequent administrations would fight for more and achieve greater than this to migrate PUSAG to a different realm, the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The current administration of PUSAG has vehemently channelled all efforts and investments to boost the administrative framework of the Association that marks its tenth anniversary this year.<\/p>\n<p>The leadership realised the necessity to explore all available avenues to secure a vehicle to complement the yet to be unveiled office space in September.<\/p>\n<p>The determined aim of leaving a legacy of a standard PUSAG Secretariat warranted the motivation to persistently convince the Ministry of Education to support the Association with a vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-232705 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Car-5-1024x680.jpg\" alt=\"Car 5\" width=\"620\" height=\"412\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing a number of appeals, negotiations and follow ups, the Ministry of Education spearheaded by the Deputy Minister of Education in charge Tertiary, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has finally yielded to the call of the Private Universities Students&#8217; Association of Ghana (PUSAG). Thankfully, one Mahindra pick-up truck has been given to the Association to facilitate the smooth running of the current and successive administrations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the 15th of July this year, PUSAG held an unprecedented Bootcamp comprising a Senate meeting and Leadership workshop training at Ashesi University College.
