{"id":232663,"date":"2016-07-20T11:25:43","date_gmt":"2016-07-20T11:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=232663"},"modified":"2016-07-20T11:25:43","modified_gmt":"2016-07-20T11:25:43","slug":"citi-fm-launches-2016-write-away-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=232663","title":{"rendered":"Citi FM launches 2016 Write-Away Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2016 edition of Citi FM&#8217;s Write-Away Contest, was today, [Wednesday], launched on the <strong>Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong>. <strong>The Write-Away Contest<\/strong>\u00a0is an annual competition geared towards building a vibrant culture of reading and writing among young pupils.<\/p>\n<p>The contest is for\u00a0kids between the ages of 10 and 14, and this year, contestants will be attempting to craft a story ending with the phrase: \u201cFortune Favours the Bold\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The closing date for the submission of entries is Saturday, September 3, and all the entries are required to be hand written and signed by a parent or a guardian.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;83hlCMSvDsYPAinrVrTWqBWCwQgslB0z&#8221;]In previous years, the top three contestants were awarded, but the 2016 edition, which is the 11th edition, will see the top five contestants awarded with cash prizes.<\/p>\n<p>The overall winner of the 2016 Write-Away contest will be presented with a cash prize of GHc5,000.
