The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo has accused the Mahama administration of neglecting the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n
Nana Addo said the region with rich mineral resources is wallowing in poverty due to the bad policies of the National Democratic Congress government.<\/p>\n
Addressing a durbar of chiefs at the Manhyia Palace, Nana Akufo Addo said the NDC government must be kicked out in this year\u2019s polls to enable the NPP bring on board better governance.<\/p>\n

Everywhere I have been to, I am met with phrases such as \u2018Nana come and save us\u2019, \u2018Nana, we are suffering\u2019,\u201d the NPP flagbearer said.<\/p>\n
Nana Addo who is on a five-day tour of the Ashanti Region touted his one-factory-one-district message to the people.<\/p>\n
He said his government will set up grains and legumes development board, originally established in Kumasi by the late Dr. K.A Busia\u2019s government, to provide the needed assistance to farmers; buy their produce at a guaranteed price; provide irrigation facilities; and establish mechanization centres for each district for farmers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a lot of well-thought through policies and programmes to help bring jobs, wealth and prosperity to Ghana and to Asanteman, if we are given the opportunity. I, therefore, came here to ask for your blessings, so that, God-willing when we win, these good policies and progarmmes can be implemented,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
