{"id":226890,"date":"2016-06-30T16:39:14","date_gmt":"2016-06-30T16:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=226890"},"modified":"2016-06-30T16:39:14","modified_gmt":"2016-06-30T16:39:14","slug":"mfantsipim-head-found-culpable-of-violating-ges-directive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=226890","title":{"rendered":"Mfantsipim head found culpable of violating GES directive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Mfantsipim School Headmaster, Kobina Ankomah Simpson, has been found culpable of violating a Ghana Education Service (GES) directive on the admission of students.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Simpson was <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/01\/13\/mfantsipim-headmaster-ordered-to-step-aside-over-illegal-fees\/\">interdicted by the GES<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for among other things, charging unapproved fees and admitting students above the required quota.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;IFfiybdODl6rj06W9EHz5MZxtjWGgy3Y&#8221;]He is expected to be sanctioned by the GES in the coming weeks after the investigations found him in breach of the Service\u2019s directives.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, Chairman of the GES Council, Professor Akwasi Asabere-Ameyaw, said Mr. Simpson has been referred to the disciplinary committee for the appropriate action.<\/p>\n<p>According to Professor Ameyaw, \u201cthe report was such that further investigations had to be done so we asked management to look at exactly what could be done to him so that we give him the chance to explain himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He noted that \u201cthe first committee that investigated him [Simpson] just found him culpable, but didn\u2019t prescribe any punishment\u201d but this disciplinary committee is going to provide a more thorough\u00a0resolution to the matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo now, we want talk to him.
