<\/p>\nAccra Brewery Limited and Voltic (GH) Limited have emerged best in class among SABMiller\u2019s subsidiaries across 19 countries in Africa at the recently held Africa Marketing, Sales and Distribution Conference in Cape Town, South Africa.<\/p>\n
The awards, given for team and country performance in the 2016 financial year, were to recognise Markets who through dedication and application, attain extraordinary achievement in the field of Marketing, Sales and Distribution.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s annual conference, which was attended by 350 executives representing all of SABMiller\u2019s subsidiaries across Africa, was held at the Century City Convention Centre between May 11 and 13, culminating in the awards event at a gala dinner.<\/p>\n
Accra Brewery Limited won 1 of 3 MD\u2019s Gold Award for excellence in Sales and Distribution and also the overall MD\u2019s Sales award for excellence in Sales and Distribution. The beer awards were adjudged across 11 countries and based on several key performance indicators, volume and market share performance of each country.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s flagship brand, Club Beer, also swept the \u2018Regional Award for Strengthening Mainstream Brands\u2019 in the SABMiller\u2019s Mercatus Awards for recognizing excellence in marketing.<\/p>\n

This celebrates Club\u2019s growth over the years, achieved through exemplary product quality and ready availability nationwide, supported with refreshing and effective communications strategies as well as exciting sales promotions.<\/p>\n
In addition, Club Beer also won the \u2018Best Campaign of the Year\u2019 by virtue of the \u201cBeer de\u0511 \u0511noaa ne Club\u201d campaign which highlighted activations such as At the Bar, a radio theatre series, and Club Live- a 12-part television series of highlife musical festivals across Ghana. \u00a0The campaign also included sales promotions and sponsorships at major traditional festivals including Kwahu, Odwira, Homowo and Afahye.<\/p>\n
Refreshingly, Voltic (GH) Limited, the leading mineral water brand in Ghana and also a subsidiary of SABMiller , equally won the \u2018MD\u2019s Gold Award for Sales and Distribution Excellence for Complimentary Beverages\u2019, largely due to its exemplary performance in the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East and West regions of Ghana.<\/p>\n
Receiving the MD\u2019s award for outstanding performance in sales and distribution, National Sales \u00a0Manager of ABL , James Boakye Sarfo, dedicated the award to the company\u2019s entire workforce as well as the millions of customers across Ghana.<\/p>\n
