{"id":223234,"date":"2016-06-17T18:37:17","date_gmt":"2016-06-17T18:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=223234"},"modified":"2016-06-17T18:37:17","modified_gmt":"2016-06-17T18:37:17","slug":"5-vehicles-involved-in-crash-at-tarkwa-nsuaem-in-wr-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=223234","title":{"rendered":"5 vehicles involved in crash at Tarkwa-Nsuaem in W\/R [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A road crash involving five vehicles at Kadawen in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region today [Friday], is reported to have left one injured.<\/p>\n<p>According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred around 9:30 am when a moving articulated truck crashed into a parked loader vehicle along the road, with the other three vehicles also crushing each other.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-223244\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/53e824a0-05a2-4548-bb47-62dc44341d19.jpg\" alt=\"53e824a0-05a2-4548-bb47-62dc44341d19\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The injured person is believed to be a driver of one of the accident cars.<\/p>\n<p>The five vehicles involved were two articulated trucks with registration numbers AS 5282- X and WR 427- 16, a Loader with registration number WR 1495-12, \u00a0a KIA container with registration number GN 8619-12, \u00a0and a Hyundai H100, also with registration number WR 1452-10<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-223248\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/cac26b97-d565-49ee-b693-a32eda200cbd.jpg\" alt=\"cac26b97-d565-49ee-b693-a32eda200cbd\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He said what caused the accident is yet to be established, but noted that they will not rule out faulty brakes.<\/p>\n<p>The accident is said to have blocked traffic on the Takoradi-Tarkwa road for several minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-223246\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/4c3da138-52fe-4cb7-b732-e89a12b29529.jpg\" alt=\"4c3da138-52fe-4cb7-b732-e89a12b29529\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile youth of Kadadwen mounted road blocks on the main Takoradi-Tarkwa road in protest against\u00a0what they described as the lenient approach of the Ghana Highways Authority to mount ramps for the safety of the community.<\/p>\n<p>One passenger told journalists that the community has on several occasions asked authorities to mount speed ramps but that hasn&#8217;t happened.\u00a0He said residents are of the view that many accidents that occur\u00a0in the area, are caused by the absence of speed ramps.<\/p>\n<p>They thus vowed that until the ramps are constructed, they were\u00a0not going to allow any vehicle to use the \u00a0road.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-223247\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/6747d1a4-db9c-4fa6-8e07-d76b66c8d02f.jpg\" alt=\"6747d1a4-db9c-4fa6-8e07-d76b66c8d02f\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi News<\/strong> can confirm that it took some military personnel who visited the area to disperse the angry youth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Obrempong Yaw Ampofo\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A road crash involving five vehicles at Kadawen in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region today [Friday], is reported to have left one injured.
