{"id":217086,"date":"2016-05-25T17:54:16","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T17:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=217086"},"modified":"2016-05-25T17:54:16","modified_gmt":"2016-05-25T17:54:16","slug":"citi-fms-kojo-akoto-wins-cooking-competition-at-family-day-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=217086","title":{"rendered":"Citi FM\u2019s Kojo Akoto wins cooking competition at Family Day Out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The host of Citi FM&#8217;s Saturday Live and a co-host of the Citi Breakfast Show, Kojo Akoto Boateng emerged winner of the cooking competition at this year&#8217;s Citi FM&#8217;s Family Day Out.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-217100\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4515.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4515\" width=\"600\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The competition involved all the male panelists of the Citi Breakfast Show; Bernard Avle, Richard Dela Sky, Kojo Akoto Boateng and Kwaku David in addition to Philip Ashon, the co-host of the Traffic Avenue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-217092\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4397.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4397\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the competitors were done with their cooking, some patrons of the fair were randomly selected as judges.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-217093\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4406.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4406\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They tasted the food\u00a0the contestants prepared and awarded marks accordingly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-217094\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4412.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4412\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Certain technicalities like presentation, kitchen safety and creativity were also taken into consideration by Nana Ama Agyeman Asante, the main judge of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the end, Kwaku David placed\u00a0fifth with 65 points, Philip Ashon, fourth with 66 points, and Bernardino Koku Avle surprised many to emerge third with 74 points.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_217095\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-217095\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-217095 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4415.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4415\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-217095\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Richard Sky busy preparing the &#8216;Galiba&#8217;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Richard Dela Sky took the second position with 78 points with his much hyped \u2018Galiba\u2019 but the ultimate prize went to Kojo Akoto Boateng whose dish; garden egg stew with boiled yam and toppings of Avocado, won him 83.5 points and bragging rights.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_217097\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-217097\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-217097 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4492.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4492\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-217097\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dzifa Gomashie graced the event<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Family Day Out climaxed Citi FM\u2019s Family Month.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s event saw fun activities such as bouncy castles, face painting, ludo, basketball and oware.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-217091\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4396.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4396\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Family Day Out was powered by Citi 97.3 FM and sponsored by Lele Foods &#8211; Tasty Food, Happy Family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Jeffrey Owuraku Sarpong\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The host of Citi FM&#8217;s Saturday Live and a co-host of the Citi Breakfast Show, Kojo Akoto Boateng emerged winner of the cooking competition at this year&#8217;s Citi FM&#8217;s Family Day Out.
