{"id":216422,"date":"2016-05-23T11:38:40","date_gmt":"2016-05-23T11:38:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=216422"},"modified":"2016-05-23T11:38:40","modified_gmt":"2016-05-23T11:38:40","slug":"model-transit-elevated-bus-debuts-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=216422","title":{"rendered":"Model Transit Elevated Bus debuts in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A model of a Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) debuted at the 19th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, which concluded on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The TEB is a purely homegrown<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> invention of China, with its passenger compartment sitting above other vehicles on the road below, allowing cars to pass underneath. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">The TEB is designed to increase the utilization of road space.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>&#8220;With a carrying capacity of 1,200 people at a time, the TEB has the same functions as the subway while its cost of construction is less than one fifth of the subway.
