{"id":215071,"date":"2016-05-18T06:55:51","date_gmt":"2016-05-18T06:55:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=215071"},"modified":"2016-05-18T06:55:51","modified_gmt":"2016-05-18T06:55:51","slug":"stop-sole-sourcing-contracts-konadu-to-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=215071","title":{"rendered":"Stop sole sourcing contracts &#8211; Konadu to gov&#8217;t"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has charged government to stop sole sourcing contracts in order to tackle the rising spate of corruption in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Radio Ghana on Tuesday night, the former first lady and President of the defunct 31<sup>st<\/sup> December Women\u2019s Movement further asked politicians to stop bribing the media to \u201ckeep quiet about issues that are happening\u201d in the country.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;01reW7O5vucWtt0KXR1G7gw23BlFa1nQ&#8221;]Nana Konadu also lashed out at the media for not doing enough to expose corruption in Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One major thing that I will say is that they should stop the sole sourcing for projects that will cut back on governmental corruption to a large extent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And then we should also stop bribing everybody for them to keep quiet about issues that are happening. We are supposed to have a vibrant media.
