The National Youth wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has strongly condemned what it terms as the \u201ccrude and deceitful\u201d tactics the Mahama-led administration is adopting in sending its campaign message across to Ghanaians ahead of the November polls.<\/p>\n

The youth wing \u00a0in a statement signed by the National\u00a0Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku, accused the NDC of deceiving Ghanaians and using inappropriate means to project their campaign ideas to the electorate.<\/p>\n

“The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party unreservedly condemns the crude and deceitful modus operandi adopted by President Mahama and his National Democratic Congress in sending its message across to the Ghanaian electorate ahead of the November Polls.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhiles it remains highly indisputable that President Mahama on account of his numerous failed promises would go down in history as Ghana\u2019s most ineffective and inefficient President of the fourth Republic, we find it as rather unfortunate and very disheartening, that the self acclaimed \u2018youthful\u2019 president and his agents would out of desperation resort to total deceit and clandestine moves to market themselves in a \u2018constituency\u2019 they so much took pride in few years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their comments come days after some members of the Tertiary\u00a0Students\u00a0Confederacy (TESCON) of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the NDC<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of using what they termed as a\u00a0diabolic strategy to\u00a0trick them into endorsing the candidature of\u00a0President John Mahama for the November polls in a video advertisement.<\/p>\n

According to TESCON\u00a0, the advertising agency that worked on the video which they were told was to sensitize students about the Electoral Commission\u2019s limited registration exercise, was only skewed to tarnish their image, and to score cheap political points.<\/p>\n

The Youth wing of the party in an attempt to assign reasons to the NDC’s move \u00a0pointed out that the NDC out of its \u201cpoor performance lacks the confidence to publicly engage the electorate hence its covert operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

It therefore admonished the youth to escape what it described as the NDC’s crude machinations.<\/p>\n

“We wish to admonish the teeming youth of our country who are eager and yearning for change to be constantly vigilant as a means of escaping NDC crude machinations.”<\/p>\n
