{"id":2124,"date":"2014-02-24T17:24:35","date_gmt":"2014-02-24T17:24:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=2124"},"modified":"2014-02-24T17:24:35","modified_gmt":"2014-02-24T17:24:35","slug":"assibits-release-in-limbo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=2124","title":{"rendered":"Assibits\u2019 release in limbo"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_1960\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1960\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Philip-Akpeena-Assibit-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1960\" alt=\"Philip Assibit (middle)\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Philip-Akpeena-Assibit-1-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Philip-Akpeena-Assibit-1-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Philip-Akpeena-Assibit-1-1024x679.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Philip-Akpeena-Assibit-1.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1960\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Philip Assibit (middle)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The first accused standing trial in the ongoing Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) case, Philip Akpeena Assibit will have to spend another night at the Nsawam Prisons.<\/p>\n<p>Philip Akpeena Assibit has been detained at the Nsawam Prisons since Wednesday February 19 for failing to meet the court\u2019s conditions of producing four sureties with two justifications worth Ghc 2 million Ghana Cedis.<\/p>\n<p>His family was earlier on Monday February 24 assured of his release on bail after satisfying the required bail bond conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Updating Citi News on the latest development, his senior brother, Thomas Assibit said the family had been assured of his release on Tuesday February 25.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cEarlier on the family was made to understand that since the bail requirements have been made he will be released to us but this afternoon we were made to understand that the investigator said their Boss was not available to give them the go ahead with the next stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued saying, \u201cbut they have promised us that tomorrow morning that will be the first thing they will do and release him to the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Thomas Assibit, the necessary documents were given to the GYEEDA investigations team at Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).<\/p>\n<p>He said EOCO was satisfied with the documents and wrote to the land title registry for confirmation with the assurance that they were going to start the process Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarly morning, we were there and then we waited for all the people to sign the bail bond to come, they were all in, we went and inspected all the properties and came back and when we came back we did not meet their Boss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked as to the health status of Philip Akpeena in prison custody, Thomas Assibit said he was in good health.<\/p>\n<p>He was optimistic that Philip Akpeena Assibit will be exonerated at the end of the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day we will all come to see that no matter what we do we cannot cover the truth; the truth will always be there whether we paint it black, white or green, the truth will always be the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Philip Akpeena Assibit who is the Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill International Consultancy Firm is standing trial with the former GYEEDA national Coordinator, Hon.
