{"id":210166,"date":"2016-04-29T12:30:22","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T12:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=210166"},"modified":"2016-04-29T12:30:22","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T12:30:22","slug":"dont-force-people-register-ayariga-parties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=210166","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t force people to register \u2013 Ayariga to parties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The founder of the All People\u2019s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, says it is not the responsibility of political parties to call on Ghanaians to register in the ongoing limited voters registration.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. Ayariga, it is the duty of the Electoral Commission to do that, and so no political party ought to get involved in creating the awareness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think that political parties must get involved in calling on Ghanaians to take part in the limited registration. It is not the duty of political parties to call on voters to come out and register, it is the Electoral Commission\u2019s duty,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;OxsdR5WBek8Wb33WZ3gMJWxvpc8vgQRw&#8221;]\u201cIt is not the responsibility of the parties to push people to go and vote.
