Some names are\u00a0so bizarre, we can’t believe they’ve ever been given to children. But a recent landmark\u00a0case just went a step further by telling a mother she can’t give her newborn twins the names she chose.<\/p>\n
The mother, who is from Powys, Wales, attempted to\u00a0name her offspring\u00a0“Cyanide” and “Preacher.”\u00a0\u00a0She believed\u00a0“Cyanide” was a pretty name for a little girl\u00a0with positive implications since it’s\u00a0the\u00a0poison that killed both Hitler and his\u00a0follower Joseph Goebbels,\u00a0according to Metro<\/em>.<\/p>\n She also argued that she had the right to name\u00a0her own\u00a0children.\u00a0However, Justice Eleanor King ruled that the name could cause emotional harm to the child in the future.<\/p>\n “It is hard to see how\u00a0…\u00a0the twin girl could regard being named after this deadly poison as other than a complete rejection of her by her birth mother,” said\u00a0King.<\/p>\n The twins, now 8 months old,\u00a0were reportedly conceived of rape.
