The initiative is committed to a progressive approach of enabling women to achieve their professional goals and fulfill their personal dreams.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208081\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew13-600x330.jpg\" alt=\"ew13-600x330\" width=\"600\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>EWN is the first of its kind in Ghana, and will be a home base for women to grow their professional skills and build important networks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208082\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew10.jpg\" alt=\"ew10\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Its mission is to influence and drive policy changes that seek to increase the representation of women in senior leadership positions in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208084\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew6.jpg\" alt=\"ew6\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>EWN\u2019s mission is also aligned with the United Nation\u2019s Sustainable Development Goal 5 that seeks gender equality and empowerment for all women and girls.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208083\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew9-1.jpg\" alt=\"ew9-1\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd, Madam Esther Cobbah stated that the network will also seek to signal women to draw each other\u2019s experiences and wealth of knowledge to grow together and excel in any sphere they venture into.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208085\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew9-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"ew9 (1)\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2018I believe that by forming a strategic network such as this Executive Women Network, it is signalling that women can draw on each other\u2019s experiences and wealth of knowledge to grow together and excel in whatever sphere they operate in,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208086\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew-7.jpg\" alt=\"ew-7\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>She added that, \u2018\u2018the founders of this Network have access to world-class resources and opportunities that can benefit not only other women but Ghanaian society at large.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208087\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew-5.jpg\" alt=\"ew-5\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Climaxing the Launch were the founders including, \u00a0Maidie Arkutu \u00a0the MD of Unilever Ghana, Freda Duplan, the MD of\u00a0 Nestle Ghana , and Patience Akyianu, MD for Barclays Bank, Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208089\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ew-2.jpg\" alt=\"ew-2\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rest were\u00a0\u00a0 Edith Dankwa the MD of B&amp;FT, \u00a0Lucy Quist, MD for Airtel Ghana, and Pearl Mensah, founder and MD, Feniks Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013<\/p>\n<p>By: Jessica Ayorkor Aryee\/citibusinessnews.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Six women in the business world have come together to launch the Executive Women Network (EWN) in Accra.
