A security analyst, Dr. Kwesi Anning is calling for punishment for persons who leaked the\u00a0detailed security intelligence\u00a0on possible terror attack on the country.<\/p>\n
Although the security alert was an internal memo to all heads of security agencies, a copy of it was sighted by Citi News .<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”4QvBfe08h5BENulGhkY6BBmRV3088M9E”]In the alert, it was confirmed that a possible terrorist attack on Ghana was real<\/span><\/strong><\/span>,<\/a> following the confessions of a suspected Malian terrorist\u00a0being interrogated.<\/p>\n He is said to be the brain behind the\u00a0Grand Bassam attacks in Cote D\u2019Ivoire. According to the report, Ghana and Togo are the next targets after the attacks in Burkina Faso and Cote d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n The choice of Ghana according to the report is to take away the perception that only francophone countries are the target.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fear has gripped some Ghanaians following the revelation.<\/p>\n In\u00a0 a\u00a0 Citi News<\/strong> interview, \u00a0Dr. Kwesi\u00a0 Anning\u00a0 called on the Ghana\u00a0 Immigration Service which is the originator of the memo, to investigate the matter and punish anyone found to have leaked the memo.<\/p>\n \u201cIf in the category of the GIS, that information is not esteemed to be sensitive then they have not committed any offence.
