The Church of Pentecost has issued a disclaimer, dissociating itself from the claims by\u00a0Fauster Atta Mensah\u00a0as being a Nobel Prize laureate in physics.<\/p>\n
The Church has also dissociated itself from all other claims made by Mr. Atta Mensah.<\/p>\n
Mr. Atta Mensah\u00a0 in an interview\u00a0on \u00a0Ghana Television (GTV)\u00a0claimed that he had won\u00a0Nobel Prize in physics.<\/p>\n
He also told the station that he was the\u00a0c<\/em>urrent Chairman of African Computer Society (ACS) and the\u00a04th youngest Ghanaian African\u00a0Scientist\u00a0to go to NASA.<\/p>\n The story went viral on social media with some calling on GTV to apologize to Ghanaians.<\/p>\n His claim also informed a thanksgiving service by the Church of Pentecost to honour his supposed achievements.<\/p>\n It was however later discovered that Mr. Atta Mensah’s claims were untrue.<\/p>\n According to his friends and old school mates, he had not made the achievements he claimed he had.<\/p>\n The Journalist who interviewed Mr. Attah Mensah, Abdul Hayi Moomen\u00a0has also come under fire for failing to\u00a0conduct proper\u00a0research<\/p>\n The disclaimer issued by the Church of Pentecost said: \u201cThe Church wishes to intimate that yearly, it acknowledges members who excel in their fields of endeavour as a way of motivation based on trust. It is in this vein that seven members were honoured during this year\u2019s Extra Ordinary Council Meetings including Fauster. Fauster\u2019s claim has however turned out to be false.”<\/p>\n \u201cMeanwhile the church is helping him to see a clinical psychologist.
