His wife then called him and he reported to the <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"7bf21125-9ceb-4bdf-bec4-a3a70359980d\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"607712fe-5619-4a4e-a1c1-32029c9f7ec6\">Accra Central<\/span><\/span> Police Station in the afternoon. He is currently being held for investigations. However, the legal officer of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Joseph <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"f46baaff-3df2-4cc8-9549-3349419ae672\"><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"75fa6e74-07ed-4dd4-b7b5-b92881b1be03\">Konadu<\/span><\/span>, is at the police station to secure his bail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Kofi B on Saturday called on the leadership of GHAMRO to account for the funds collected on behalf of musicians. In an interview on Adom FM, he threatened to beat them if they refused to resign.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThey should resign from that position or else, we would beat them but of course they need to account for any <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"e01cec4a-747e-44cc-8fc1-8a205653ac3f\">pesewa<\/span> before they resign. You can\u2019t sit in the offices and allocate any amount of money for yourselves as allowances. When was the last time Carlos Sakyi and his people released musical materials? You sit there and eat from our sweat\u201d \u2013 he stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It is widely believed that Carlos Sakyi made the report to the police based on the above statement by Kofi B.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Kofi B is also on record as saying he&#8217;s received death threats over his unrelenting push for the GHAMRO board to render accounts of their stewardship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to him, he received a death threat on May 15 from an unidentified caller.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The GHAMRO brouhaha has been going on for some time now with aggrieved musicians and rights owners calling on the board to render accounts as mandated by law.
