<\/p>\nAdlene Guedioura\u2019s stunning goal helped Watford down Arsenal and book a place in the FA Cup semi-final.<\/p>\n
Arsenal were looking to win a third successive FA Cup, but were undone by Odion Igahlo and Guedioura.<\/p>\n

But Danny Welbeck\u2019s late goal ensured it was a nervy end to the game for and the Arsenal striker will rue his missed chance to equalise late in the game.<\/p>\n
As early as 10 minutes, though, the Gunners had the ball in the back of the net through Olivier Giroud, but the striker was ruled to be offside.<\/p>\n
Excellent defending from Nathan Ake then prevented Joel Campbell from scoring, while defender Gabriel was lucky to remain on the pitch after a two-footed lunge on Troy Deeney.<\/p>\n
However, referee Andre Marriner did not even deem it to be a foul.<\/p>\n

Shortly afterwards, Mohamed Elneny was wasteful on the edge of Watford\u2019s six-yard box and Elneny again had an opportunity to put Arsenal in after Mesut Ozil had weaved his way through theWatford defence just before half-time.<\/p>\n
And Ozil was chief creator again moments later when his beautiful pass found Campbell, but the winger could not direct the ball past Costel Pantilimon.<\/p>\n
It was an action packed end to the half, but Watford survived the onslaught and Pantilimon was booked for time wasting.<\/p>\n
It appeared it would not be long before Arsenal were in front when Giroud was presented with a free header in the penalty area a minute into the second half from an Ozil corner.<\/p>\n

But his effort went over and moments later all the noise was coming from the away end at when Ighalo struck.<\/p>\n
Deeney flicked on Ake\u2019s long throw and Ighalo, with Gabriel breathing down his back, was able to turn and drill the ball low past David Ospina.<\/p>\n
The Nigeria ace should have made it 2-0 ten minutes later, but he could not make the necessary contact on Ake\u2019s wonderful low cross.<\/p>\n

But while Ighalo was unable to make contact, Guedioura put everything he had into his shot and in the process almost tore a hole in Ospina\u2019s net for Watford\u2019s second.<\/p>\n
Deeney held the ball up and rolled it into his team-mate\u2019s who smashed the ball in at the near post from the corner of the 18-yard box.<\/p>\n
What a way to score your first of the season.<\/p>\n
But as they searched for a third goal, Arsenal pulled themselves back into the game when substitute Welbeck scored with three minutes to go.<\/p>\n
Sensing another goal, the Gunners attacked once more and Watford were sweating when Alex Iwobi hit the post and Welbeck, with his back to an empty net, \u00a0turned but could not get his shot on target.<\/p>\n

Maybe he should have set up the oncoming Theo Walcott, but it didn\u2019t matter as Watford destroyed their hopes of winning three FA Cups on the bounce.<\/p>\n
It doesn\u2019t get easier for the hosts, with a trip to Barcelona on Wednesday and Everton on Saturday.<\/p>\n
