{"id":198513,"date":"2016-03-13T12:27:55","date_gmt":"2016-03-13T12:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=198513"},"modified":"2016-03-13T12:27:55","modified_gmt":"2016-03-13T12:27:55","slug":"bob-okala-brought-joy-to-lordina-and-i-mahama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=198513","title":{"rendered":"Bob Okala brought joy to Lordina and I &#8211; Mahama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to the late veteran Comedian, Samuel Kwadwo Buabeng, popularly known as Bob Okala.<\/p>\n<p>The 59-year old <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2016\/03\/13\/comedian-bob-okala-is-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\">passed away<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>on\u00a0Sunday dawn \u00a0at the\u00a0Koforidua Government Hospital, after a short illness.<\/p>\n<p>He died shortly after a performance at an event in the town on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>The President , after receiving the news of the death of the renowned comedian, took to social media to openly express\u00a0his sorrow and to also extend his condolence to the bereaved family.<\/p>\n<p>He said Bob Okala brought joy to many homes through his stand-up comedy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-198514\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Mahama.png\" alt=\"Mahama\" width=\"586\" height=\"172\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been informed of the death of comedian Bob Okalla. He brought joy to many homes, and of course to Lordina &amp; I,&#8221; said the President.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Okala was recently part of the selected actors and comedians who marched last Sunday at the 59th Independence Day parade.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Okala\u2019s death comes just a little over\u00a0a month after another great comedian <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2016\/02\/05\/veteran-comedian-nkomode-passes-on\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nkomode passed on<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.
